I live in the H building of the Cotton Mill, which was spared the bulk of the tornado's destruction. Nevertheless, the whole experience has been totally unbelievable and continues to play with my emotions. People are beginning to share their stories from the tragedy, and I'm compiling some of those to share with you here.

I received an email with this story from a friend, and thought it was appropriate to share it with the community.  Please take a moment to read this and reflect on the fact that not everyone was spared the storm's wrath.


*Do you remember the Myspace picture of the
"paratransit van with the rubble on the back of it."
 
*Do you recall the story I told you and your cameraman about the store on the corner...referencing to how fickle the path of a Tornado could be...

'There's been a tornado in Cabbagetown.' That was the sentence that changed everything for me on Friday March 15, 2008. My partner and I had been sitting at the bar at Graveyard Tavern finishing up some delicious sandwiches when the lights flashed on and off a couple of times. A few seconds later, the power went out completely.
